TechSherpas Announces CompTIA Partnership

Chris Crum Posted by

TechSherpas recently announced that it is now a CompTIA Authorized partner.

The CompTIA Authorized Partner Program recognizes CompTIA training and courseware partners for class and certification materials quality. The company explains:

CompTIA builds vendor-neutral certifications that measure foundational skills. They show employers you have the skills to do the job, regardless of the vendor of the hardware or software product. CompTIA certifications are recommend for those who are just starting a career in IT, and are not yet set on a vendor specific technology like Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, etc. They are universal, and are a prerequisite to many IT jobs and even higher level vendor-specific certifications, like those mentioned. Those seeking entry level positions as a computer technician, technical support representative, help desk specialist, network administrator, network engineer, network technician, security analyst, security specialist, or network security engineer should explore the various certifications CompTIA has to offer.

To become a partners, the company had to complete what it calls a “stringent” application process, and it must abide by CompTIA guidelines to keep its status.

“CompTIA certifications are widely recognized and the skills developed are useful in any IT job,” says Randy Dempsey, TechSherpas’ President and CEO, when announcing the news. “The ability to provide these certification preparation courses gives IT students the opportunity to get IT certified without getting vendor specific. Everyone has an option.”

The CompTIA courses TechSherpas is offering include: A+, Security+, Network+, Linux+, and Cloud Essentials.

Students can take classes in a traditional classroom, via remote classroom instruction or in private on-site training.
